Job description

About InfoConsulting

InfoConsulting is one of the fastest growing consulting companies operating internationally in the field of technology and management. We work with the latest ERP technologies, addressing the real needs of our clients, and improving the efficiency of their operations. We are systematically and dynamically expanding into new countries. Thanks to the work of our experts and their professional approach to business, we are an IFS Elite Partner, repeatedly awarded the title of IFS Partner of the Year.

At InfoConsulting, we combine diverse experience and skills, creating an environment based on collaboration, responsibility, and openness. We value professionalism, commitment, creativity, and trust — values that inspire the way we collaborate and support each other every day in all the countries we operate in.

Join a team of experts who strive together to achieve ambitious goals and transform the way companies operate around the world.

About the role

We are looking for a Consulting Director to take full ownership of our implementation team, which will consist of almost 20 consultants by the end of 2026.

This is a senior, high-autonomy role reporting directly to our Managing Director ANZ. You will own delivery outcomes end-to-end across every active engagement and build the team structure, methodology and career pathways. The role will take ownership of day-to-day delivery leadership, protect margin and client satisfaction across live engagements, and build the operating rhythm.

Job requirements

What you will be responsible for:

  • Strategic & P&L Leadership

You will own the consulting P&L with accountability for revenue and cost drivers and be measured against project margin performance and team billable utilisation. You will set and monitor consulting-level targets in partnership with the Managing Director, shape the medium-term strategy, and make build-vs-buy and resourcing investment recommendations to protect margin and delivery capacity.

As a member of the executive team, you will also contribute directly to company vision, strategic direction and cross-functional decisions beyond the consulting practice.

  • Delivery leadership and Quality

You will be accountable for delivery quality, risk and commercial performance across every active client engagement, and be the senior escalation point for at-risk engagements, intervening to protect client relationships and margin.

You will establish and maintain a consistent delivery methodology, governance model and quality assurance framework, balance capacity planning and skills fit, and ensure engagements are appropriately scoped and staffed, working closely with the sales team during the sell cycle.

  • People leadership and team development

You will provide direct leadership to Team Leads and Project Managers, with overall leadership accountability for the full delivery team of approximately 20 consultants and growing.

You will own resourcing end-to-end – the sole decision-maker for who is staffed where, how competing project demands are prioritised, and when consultants are reassigned.

  • Client and Stakeholder Management

You will act as the senior delivery relationship owner for our most strategic and complex client accounts, representing InfoConsulting in steering committees, executive briefings and escalation conversations with client sponsors – including CFOs, COOs, Heads of Asset Management and Field Service Directors.

You will be a partner with sales and account management on renewals, expansions and reference-ability of delivered engagements, and ensure consistent, transparent reporting to clients on programme health, risk and value delivered.

  • Business development contribution

You will support scoping, solutioning and commercial input on new opportunities and renewals, ensuring proposals are deliverable at the quoted margin. You will contribute delivery credibility to the sales cycle for complex or strategic pursuits – client meetings, solution workshops and proposal defence – and identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts based on delivery relationships and engagement performance.

  • Governance, Risk and Continuous Improvement

You will establish standards for project governance, documentation, risk logs and quality gates; monitor delivery risk across the portfolio and maintain an early-warning view for the Managing Director on any engagement in difficulty; and drive continuous improvement in delivery methodology, tooling and reusable assets – accelerators, templates and playbooks – specific to our engagements.

What success looks like

We want expectations to be clear from the beginning. Your performance will be measured against project margin and team billable utilisation, with qualitative and strategic measures agreed with the Managing Director.

At 90 days

  • You have completed a full review of active engagements, margins and resourcing, and surfaced and stabilised any at-risk delivery.

  • You have established visibility over utilisation, forecast accuracy and consultant workload across the team.

  • You have built a trusted working relationship with the Managing Director, Project Managers, Team Leads and key clients.

  • You have identified quick wins in delivery methodology, quality assurance or resourcing process.

At 12 months

  • The consulting P&L is transparent, forecastable, and trending toward agreed margin targets.

  • A consistent delivery methodology and quality framework is in place and adopted across engagements.

  • A clear team structure exists with defined career paths, reducing key-person and attrition risk.

  • You are recognised by clients as the senior escalation point and trusted delivery authority.

  • A credible growth plan – capability, headcount, service lines – is agreed with the Managing Director.

You are likely to do well in this role if

  • You have led a consulting delivery function of comparable or larger scale – people and P&L – ideally within ERP, EAM, FSM or adjacent enterprise software consulting,

  • You are comfortable being the most senior delivery voice in the business, operating with significant autonomy while reporting into the Managing Director,

  • You can balance commercial discipline – margin, utilisation, forecasting – with genuine people leadership at a ~20-person scale,

  • You are credible in front of clients in asset-intensive industries, able to hold your own with CFOs, COOs, Heads of Asset Management or Field Service Directors,

  • You have experience acting as a senior escalation point on complex, client-critical engagements, and resolving them,

●   You have direct experience with one or more ERP/EAM/FSM platforms, such as IBM Maximo, SAP, IFS, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, ServiceMax or Salesforce Field Service, and have experience building or scaling a consulting practice through a significant growth phase.

  • You are based in Brisbane or Melburne, although candidates from anywhere in Australia will be considered for this fully remote role.

Formal qualifications in engineering, IT, business or a related field are highly regarded but not required where experience demonstrates equivalent capability.

Our practice is growing

Potential headcount growth of 30–40% through 2027, and increasingly complex, enterprise-scale engagements. This role is built for someone who wants to build a consulting delivery team, not just staff one.

What we offer

  • Executive Standing

Part of the executive team from day one, with a direct voice in company vision and strategic direction – not just practice-level decisions.

  • A practice built around you

Sole decision-making authority over resourcing across the delivery team, and the mandate to build the operating rhythm – methodology, governance, quality assurance and career pathing – that a team of this size and growth trajectory needs.

  • Enterprise-calibre clients

Work with clients across energy, utilities, resources, engineering, construction and infrastructure – sectors where delivery reliability matters as much as the solution itself, and enterprise customers expect quality outcomes on genuinely complex work.

  • Fully remote work

You can work from anywhere in Australia.

Our Australian office is located on Edward Street in Brisbane, but you do not need to live nearby.

  • Transparent recruitment and assessment

Every candidate completing the assessment works from the same brief and is evaluated against the same written criteria.

How to apply

Please submit your CV and a short note on a consulting delivery function you've built or scaled from the ground up — the structure, methodology or team you put in place, and the result, through the application portal.

Half a page is enough.

InfoConsulting is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people of all ages and backgrounds, and carers. Every applicant is assessed against the same written criteria.
